It’s all about the plants! These are photos of some of the plants growing in my organic garden here in Boonville.

  • Damask Rose

Damask are the Queens of roses. Flowers are about love, about cooling, about centering your heart. Great hydrosol facial nourisher.

  • Yarrow

As a baby, Achilles mother dipped him in it and he was invulnerable except for the Achilles heel where she held him.” Yarrow knows blood” from stemming bleeding to forming scabs.

  • Oregano

Oregano is another powerful antimicrobial, necessary for viruses and bacteria. As a Hydrodol, Oregano oil is safe as a spray and a drink.

  • Elderberry

Elderberry is a powerful flu fighter. You may see it as Sambuca syrup. An essential addition to the herbal medicine cabinet.

  • Echinacea

Echinacea is rightfully famous for stimulating our T-cells to fight infections. Another essential herb.

  • Borage

Borage for Courage! Borage for Bees! Refresh your skin with Borage Hydrosol. Essential in the Spring garden for bees.

  • Ashwaganda

An Adaptogen helps your body adjust - and relieves stress. Ashwaganda Root will help with general stress and with sleep.

  • Lavender

Relaxing, smells heavenly, a great Hydrosol to spray on your pillow, over your body, in your room - just a great friend.

  • Calendula

Bringing sunshine to the dark - a strong yet gentle antibiotic. Essential to the medicine cabinet.

  • Nigella sativa

Mohammed said this plant can cure anything except death. The seeds are more common in the Arabic world but a great herb for here as well.

  • Angelica

A galaxy of uses - mostly for the respiratory system. Tradition puts a piece of the root at each corner of the home. A heavenly plant.

  • Boneset

Boneset will bring a fever right down. Does it set bones? Some say so. I love the way the stems grow through the leaves.
